    We have two issues in Login for Forum

    1) We want user should be able to edit their own posted posts(reply) to thread but Edit link is visible but Edit Link for Users(for their posted posts and reply) is not working properly as on clicking edit it’s going to login page after login Nothing is happening .

    2) How Password Recovery Control work, we have secret question and Answer in my create User Control and I want that to confirm answer for secret question before sending password email but there is no visibility for Secret Question and answer Control (asp:PasswordRecovery) in Password Recovery Control. How this can be done.

    Hello anand,

    Did you receive any errors after login or just a blank page? Have you set any destination page url?

    As for the password recovery control:

    1. Edit your web.config as below:

    <membership defaultProvider="Sitefinity" userIsOnlineTimeWindow="15" hashAlgorithmType=""
          <providers>
            <clear/>
            <add name="Sitefinity" connectionStringName="DefaultConnection" type="Telerik.DataAccess.AspnetProviders.TelerikMembershipProvider, Telerik.DataAccess" enablePasswordRetrieval="false" enablePasswordReset="true" requiresQuestionAndAnswer="true" applicationName="/" requiresUniqueEmail="false" passwordFormat="Hashed" maxInvalidPasswordAttempts="5" passwordAttemptWindow="10" passwordStrengthRegularExpression="" minRequiredPasswordLength="1" minRequiredNonalphanumericCharacters="0"/>
          </providers>
        </membership>

    2. Open the following template ~ \Sitefinity\Admin\CmsAdmin\Users.aspx

    3. Add the code below to the user registration section in order to show two new fields- one for a user question and another for a user answer:

    <li><cc2:FieldLabel ID="FieldLabel1" runat="server" Text="Question" TargetID="Email"></cc2:FieldLabel>
    <asp:TextBox ID="Question" runat="server" ValidationGroup="CreateUser"></asp:TextBox></li
    <li><cc2:FieldLabel ID="FieldLabel2" runat="server" Text="Answer" TargetID="Email"</cc2:FieldLabel>
    <asp:TextBox ID="Answer" runat="server" ValidationGroup="CreateUser"></asp:TextBox></li

    4. Create a page/user control that contains PasswordRecovery control.

    The above solution works for Sitefinity 3.5 version. There is a bug related to this implementation in our previous release.

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely yours,
