I have been trying to upload a simple user control but when I try to upload it using the "Upload a control" link in the sitefinity CMS i am getting the following error:

Access to the path 'c:\websites\165052gp4\web.config' is denied.

I would assume this has something to do with the permissions on my server any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi Ali,

Please, make sure the account that runs the ASPNET working process (this is the ASPNET account in IIS5.x and the NETWORK SERVICES account in IIS6.x)
has full permissions for the web.config file:

    1. Right-click the file and select Properties.
    2. Select the Security tab.
    3. Click Add... to add a user.
    4. In the new dialog, click Advanced...
    5. In the new dialog, click Find now...
    6. Select the ASPNET user from the list of available users.
    7. Go back to the Security tab, select the ASPNET user and give full permissions.

    Hope this helps.
