I am having some major troubles with the inbuilt search indexing.
The page indexes are only indexing 1 index per page.

News index appears to be working correctly.

I have tested this by setting an index for 1 single page with several hundred words on it (added via a generic content control).
When indexing only 1 word is recorded as being indexed.

Do the search indexes search generic content controls?

    Hello Iain,

Indexing result for pages that contain 1 word per page usually is a result of some error or exceptions being thrown during indexing process. You can review your sitefinity.log file for more details, you can find it inside the project App_Data folder.

The PageIndex is indexing Generic Content, but page contents or modifications made to the site templates could lead to exceptions and incorrect indexing.

To further assist you, we need more information about your project, such as Sitefinity version used, specific settings, and also your sitefinity.log.
