Hi in my situation my client has articles, prodcasts, and news items divided into two categories called Industries and the other one as Services.
Now these industries contain many industries and Services also will contain many services.
Now from the front end UI i will provide a searchbox and two dropdown lists to my client one dropdownlist will contain all industries and the other will contain all services. One article can belong to more than one industries and more than one servies.
For this i didn't find any solution in Sitefinity but i found one thing that you can assign multiple tags to a item in Blogs by Sitefinity.
I am not using Blogs as such but i think that we can convert them as required by us.
Also i need two type of tags called Industry and the other Service and then under these two other sub industries and sub services will fall.
Please let me know how to do this.
Or if i am going in a wrong direction please suggest me some way by which i can achieve my goal.

Search in Sitefinity is little complex meaning we can't customize it so easily according to our needs.I suggest you people to pay attention on the Search features and make them more customizable in future realeases.

    Thanks for help

We are looking into improving and making it easier to work with the Search features in Sitefinity.
Hopefully in one of our future releases searching by categories will be made available out of the box with the option to customize it as you see fit.
