I have figured out how to set the default single and list item template for a newsview control (and other types of controls) via the telerik.sitefinity.configuration.controlsconfig.xml file.  This is great but I would like to set other properties such as the explicit links(singleitemurl and listitemurl) and  so that when a newview control is dragged on to a page, it already has that property set (I would also be interested in setting which fields are displayed by default) is this possible? and if so, How would you go about doing it?

    Hi jose pacheco,

You have to create a custom class that inherits from the ContentView based control you want to modify. Then override the property you would like to change and return a default value in the get accessor.

Wow. quick response, I thought that might be the answer, just seeing if there was a way to set it via xml. Our company just bought Sitefinity and we are going to be running our website off of it. Thanks for the help.
