We're trying to setup Sitefinity version 3.2 site on Windows 2008 with IIS 7.5.

We earlier had some issues installing the same in version 7 on windows 2003, issues like we were unable to edit .template files, we were unable to see .sflb files due to them using url rewriting or say that the url rewriting never worked. by doing some web.config changes we were able to fix it in 2003/iis 7.0.

we have been trying to fix this in 7.5 but had no luck so far, did a lot of google for any general or specific help but with no joy. we are aware of the basics that any sf 3.2 site must be running under classic mode.

can you please guide us how to set up sf 3.2 in iis 7.5 and what should he have in our iis or web.config in order to get those url rewriting working.

    many thanks

    Hello IH,

Thank you for using our services.

Sitefinity 3.2 is a IIS 6.0 based website - it has not been built to run in Integrated Pipeline mode. .This means that you have to set the Sitefinity 3.2 website which you have run in Classic Application Pool. This is one of the reasons you are not being able to see items from images and documents, and edit templates - their handlers are mapped for IIS 6.0, and not for IIS 7.0. Switching to Classic Application pool should resolve most of your issues. You can also check out those troubleshooting tips:
