Hi, I just tested the new wiki feature in SF3.7, and it seems like a pretty neat addition to the existing modules.

However, after adding some wiki content I get a Wikis.xml in my /App_Data folder, which is something I am trying to avoid for deployment reasons and to separate code and data. I can see that this is defined in the web.config and I know that there are still limitations in which providers are available for the wiki module, but is it possible to configure the wiki module to use the database for saving its content? If not, is this planned for future releases?

    Cheers, Chris

    Hello Chris,

Configuring Wiki to use database is planned feature for Sitefinity 4.0. The current implementation uses "XmlProvider" which does not store the data to server database. You can change the dataFile attribute of the provider to different directory but you need to grant asp account with create/read/write rights.

Actually using xml is very useful when you want to use LINQ to XML. LINQ to XML is a new way to construct, write and read XML data in .NET.

    Sincerely yours,
