    Hi!

Can you help me to understand how you organize Showcases on this site? I want to create a such module. The main question for me is how you organize browsing by industry, by case study and by partner? Each item in showcases has many categories, am I right? Or you are using tags in showcases?

    Thank you.

    Hello Paul,

This is a custom control, actually two controls - the first one is a tab strip with multi-pages which shows all categories and calculates the items inside each category. All showcases are categorized. The second control is represented by thumbnails and repeater. For both controls we calculate the columns and for the thumbnails there is a paging, so that adding new items does not require making any changes to the layout. We also use a custom module to enter the items  which is almost the same as GenericContent module except that we have added several metakeys.

    Best wishes,

    Hi Ivan!

Thank you for the description. But you didn't answer for my question about multicategorization =) As I understand each item has more than one category, am I right? Or you just duplicate items in categories?

    Hi Paul,

Each item belongs only to one category. - By industry tab shows all items by category, By Case study is also based on the same categories, By partner is based on the author/partner/company name
