    Hi team.

I am trying to make a 2 level menu. both levels are to be horizontal and both are to extend the full width of the page. Both have background images which fit in with the style of the page. The second level menu will only be displayed (below the first) if needed - ie if the option on the main (level1) menu has multiple possibilities, then the second level will be displayed.

I have done a mockup using unordered lists and styled it with css. in my mockup the menu works just as I want but I can't make it work in Sitefinity. the reason I am having problems is that I am using the sitemenu control and that comes with a vast amount of auto generated css which conflicts with my needs. I just can't get it to go.

What I really would like, is a control that rendered a nested list in plain html from the sitemap provider. That was I can provide the CSS as I need to make the menu work as I want.

Can I do this with Sitefinity?

Alternatively, can I somehow control the CSS which is autogenerated when I use the sitemenu control?

    Am I missing something here?

    Thanks and regards,

    Ross.

    Hi Ross Reichardt,

SiteMenu control is RadMenu control. The difference is in several exposed properties and the way that the menu is bound. You can gather more information about the styling of RadControls in Sitefinity from this KB article.

    Hi Ivan.

Thanks for the link. That explained what I needed to do. Now it works just the way I wanted it to.

    Thanks and all the best,

    Ross.
