    Hello,

I have two websites running with Sitefinity version 3.6 on IIS7 on the same server. Both were created within days of each other, and they have similar pages and configurations. (Essentially the same product for two different clients) One of these sites has extensionless urls working fine, while the other does not. For example,

www.mysite1.com/products always shows the content of www.mysite.com/products.aspx
      but
www.mysite2.com/products always throws a 404 error, but www.mysite2.com/products.aspx works fine.

I compared the web.config files, and they are identical, aside from the connection strings.

    Any ideas?

    Hi David,

Can you please check whether you have mapped sf404.aspx error page in the IIS for your second Sitefinity project?

    Hello, thank you for responding.

Neither site has sf404.aspx mapped in IIS.

    Thank you,

    David

    Hi David,

The problem might be in the scenario if the first project is running in Integrated Mode and the second is in Classic Mode. Can you try to add wild card mapping for the second project to see if this will make any difference.

I checked the application pools, and so it was... one was using Integrated Mode and the other was using Classic. Switching the second to Classic Mode resolved this problem.

    Thank you very much,

    David
