How can I sort the document list in DocumentEditorDialog.aspx dialogue by name?  It appears as these are sort by GUID.  Being able to sort by name would make it much easier to find items in larger lists.  I noticed the "Images & Documents" section has this functionality.

Has anyone been able to do this?

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for contacting us.

There is a property you can set at the Advanced tab of the control. You just need to expand the Filters section and set the necessary SortExpression. The control can be sorted by the following meta fields:
    • Author
    • Description
    • Extension
    • Name
    • Size
    • Category
So, for example, to sort the the items in the download list by their name descending, you need to set Name DESC for the value of the SortExpression property.
I hope this gets you started. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    Best wishes,
    Joe

Thanks Joe.  Sorry, I wasn't specific  enough.

I'm using the Generic Content control and click the "Insert a document" link on top bar.  After that I click "Select from already uploaded documents" and then browse to the library.  Any ideas on how I can sort the documents in this list?  We have some with 140+ documents and its tough to find them when they're radomnly listed.

    Hello Jason M,

We regret to inform you that this is not possible at the moment. We think to change these dialogs, and will keep this functionality in mind.
If you need these functionality urgently, you could create a new dialog for the editor, and to use our APIs to take the images in the way you want. Here is a documentation on RadEditor custom dialogs.

We are sorry that could not help you much at this time.

    Sincerely yours,
    Georgi

No worries, thanks for the quick reply Georgi!

Hopefully this will be included in 4.0.
