We currently are running SiteFinity 3.5 and we have integrated another project along with sitefinity in the website folder structure (ecommerce) .

    /website/
    /sitefinity/
    /ecommerce/

All works well, with an exception of the Default.aspx page under the /ecommerce/ folder.

    We recieve the following error:

    The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

    Requested URL: /ecommerce/sitefinity/cmsentrypoint.aspx

Any ideas on why our separate folder would be looking to redirect the Default.aspx page to the cms entry point page?

    Thanks,
    Cody

    Hello,

I think that the problem is in the application inheritance. The parent application web.config settings are inherited in the child applications. Please try to break this inheritance - take a look at this article for more information - Stopping ASP.NET web.config inheritance

    Kind regards,
    Georgi
