    Hey Guys,

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but I am having trouble getting started on replacing RadEditor with TinyMCE in Sitefinity 3.7.  I have read through several posts in this forum indicating that I need to replace the RadEditor with a TextBox or other Asp.NET control but I cannot find where in the world that happens.  The place where I would like to replace the editor is the Edit Generic Content control Sitefinity.  I found a file called Editor.aspx and replaced RadEditor in there but apparently that is not the correct place.  Can you point me in the right direction to where the Generic Content Edit HtmlEditor lives?  Thanks in advance!

    Hello Shawn,

You need to map the external template for the desired view. The template that is being loaded when you edit a generic content item is ContentItemEdit.ascx. You can get it from the external templates archive that we provide for downloading in each account. You can gather more information at How to map a template.

    All the best,

Hi Ivan, Thanks for the quick response!

We got it to work in most places, but cannot find the final place where I would like to make the editor swap.  The place where I cannot find is: Edit Page -> drag new Generic Control control onto the page -> Edit.  Other than that dialog, I am able to replace other instance and it works great; thanks for the help!

    Hello Shawn,

The template you are looking for is [ExternalTemplates]\Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Generic_Content\GenericContentDesigner.ascx
