    Hello,

I know this question has been posted numerous times, but none of the current solutions fix my problem, so i hope someone can help.

I have setup the sample TIU site. Browsing the public part of the website works perfectly which would lead me to believe the connection to the database is ok. When i try to login to the admin part I dont receive an error telling me my details havent been accepted, it just submits the form and returns to the same login page. Running SQL Profiler tells me that it is indeed communicating with the database (although i cant confirm which Stored PRocedure the login page is talking to).

Is there anything else i can look at try and resolve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Al

    Hi Al,

Could you please check if your project is running under Classic.Net application pool?

    Hi Gerogi,

Thanks for your response. Im running the site under IIS6 not 7 so there is no Classic.NET app pool.

    Regards,
    Al

    Hi Al,

Can you please check if Forms Authentication option is enabled  for your web site in IIS? Also, are you able with other web browser? The last thing, do you have an underscore in your computer name?

    Hope this helps.

    Sincerely yours,
    Nikolai

    Hi Nikolai,

The strangest thing has happened and im sure no-one in the forum is going to believe me. After your last post i booted up my VPC to check whether forms authentication was  turned on, which it was. I gave the login another go and it worked - i have made no changes whatsoever!

It might just have been some type of cache issue?

Thanks for your input both Nikolai and Georgi....

    Kind regards,
    Al
