I've a requirement where I need to allow the admin user to upload a document to the document library directly from the news module while adding a news item. The basic purpose of doing this is to avoid having the user to upload a document first into the document library and then mapping it to the news item.

Can you please tell me how do I acheive this ? Please note that we've already customised the news module to allow the user to map a particular news item to a particular document in the document library.

    Hi Saumitra,

Add a new metakey to the templates - NewsItemNew and NewsItemEdit. Both templates have declaration of ButtonSelector control that is used for Thumbnails. Copy the ButtonSelector control and map it to your metakeys for documents. The ButtonSelector allows you to upload items directly to a given library.

    All the best,
