    I am currently evaluating Sitefinity as a CMS for our website.

    We have a live website which have urls which are currently indexed in Google. We would like to retain most of the url structures with the new website using Sitefinity. How would we rewrite the URL to our preferred URL in Sitefinity?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hello Kristina,

    For Sitefinity providers you can use urlRewriteFormat attribute. Additionally you could use Telerik.Cms.Engine.ContentUrlRewriterService. You can add some sections in your web.config to activate

    <sectionGroup name="telerik"
    <section name="urlrewrites"
    type="Telerik.Cms.Web.AdvancedUrlRewriter, Telerik.Cms"/>

    and set up your rules

    <!-- Add your rule elements here -->
    <url>[input URL pattern]</url>
    <rewrite>[replaced URL]</rewrite>

    More information about this approach can be found at our User Manaul, section URL Rewriting

    Here is a link to an useful webinar regarding url rewriting in Sitefinity.

    I hope this helps.
