We have an existing intranet that will be used jointly with Sitefinity.  Our goal is to have one search engine that indexes Sitefinity as well as our existing intranet pages.

Any ideas on how this can work?

We can always point our existing search engine to index Sitefinity content.
Is it possible to point Lucene to index non-Sitefinity pages?

    Hi Janet Webb,

If you add these pages as external pages in Sitefinity you can use the built-in Search Engine. The PageIndexProvider looks only for pages from the SiteMap.
