    In my custom module I have set one of my metafields valueType="Integer" and now I have a request to change it to valueType="ShortText". When I am making the chnage I am getting the error while saving the xisting content items, alerting that the field should be Int ... .

    Can you please let me know how to handle this issue?

    Hi Armen,

    To solve the issue you could update sf_GCMetaData table. To achieve this run the following script on your SQL Server database. Note that you must replace Meta_Field_Key and Application_Name (the value of the applicationName attribute in telerik/cmsEngine/providers/add element of the custom module) with the real values.
    It is extremely important to BACK UP your database before executing the script:

    update sf_GCMetaData
    set    [ValueType] = 0
    where  [KeyValue]='Meta_Field_Key' and
           [Application]='Application_Name' and
           [ValueType] = 3

    Do let us know if this helps.

    Kind regards,
