I have a requirement to display the latest 5 YouTube videos as thumbnails and then clicking on a thumbnail will display the video embedded within a SF page. I have found this play list control on the Marketplace: http://www.sitefinity.com/marketplace/modules/youtube-playlist-display.aspx
however clicking the thumbnail plays the video on the YouTube site.
The SF sales team have advised that I need an additional content provider to display the YouTube video and that the support engineers can provide some technical details and examples.

    Hello Paul Rubens,

Thank you for using our services.

Google does provide both server side and client side API for YouTube. More information can be found here: YouTube API Overview Guide. What you can do in the case would be to create a control similar to the one you have found in the market place. For the display of the videos in a list you can use a repeater. You will bind this repeater to a list of the YouTube videos. When you can add some JavaScript functions which will handle the clicking of items in the list. For each item clicked you will pass its YouTube video ID to YouTube video player and then using JavaScript hide the list of items and make the video player visible.

    All the best,
