Guys speak up if you need this stuff. Put some pressure on telerik to give us what we had in 3.7 for half the price. On second thought they have enough pressure already. But make yourself heard. The ZIP Upload for example  - a great feature off 3.7 is not even planned.

     Sub-Domain Handling
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/handling-subdomains-in-4-0.aspx
Kalina -> This functionality will be supported after the official release.

Links to Internal and External Pages
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/link-to-external-and-internal-pages.aspx
Kalina -> we will try to implement it in Q1.

    Backend Localization
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/back-end-localization.aspx
Grisha -> Currently backend localization is not working for SBE, but we have this scheduled and we will have it working shortly after the official release

    Oracle & MySQL
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/sf-4-0-oracle-mysql-support.aspx
Kalina -> scheduled for either Q1(ending in April) or Q2(ending in July) of 2011

    Default Layout Templates
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/the-default-layout-templates.aspx
Ivan -> We will have it after the official release

    Back-End Localization SBE
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/back-end-localization.aspx
Kalina - Having backend localization in SBE is in the plans for Q1 (ending in March).

    Shared Content
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/380213-shared-content.aspx
Ivan - We will have it for Q1-Q2, after the official release when we are going to make changes to the ContentBlock designer.

    Image Uplaod in ZIP Files
    http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/general-discussions/upload-images-in-zip.aspx
Radoslav - We have not planned this feature yet.

+ 1 for shared generic content (must-have-feature in my projects), sub-domain handling, external pages and image-upload in ZIP files. Additionally I'm missing lists and a file system provider for libraries.

I have to admit that I don't really understand the rush to release 4.0 when there will be so many features missing from the final product that are already there in 3.7. Take your time and get the product right.

    Regards,

    Hardy

I completely agree. At the very least here are three MISSING features we already miss:

Links to Internal and External Pages
Shared Content (I'm astonished by this one)
    Image Upload in ZIP Files

I'm sure there are a few others, but thank you Markus for posting on these items.

    Hi all,

We will post a roadmap for the upcoming quarter. I am happy to tell you that some of these features will make it to the release in Q1.

    Multiple URLs.

The page properties page has a section the says it has multiple URLs, but doesn't; so I imagine it's not too far off.

I'm hoping FileSystem storage provider is one of the features in Q1 :)

I waited so long for that in 3.x

Here is my wishlist in order of importance

    1) Links to internal and external pages
    2) Shared Content
    3) FileSystem
    4) Backend localization in SBE <- if not done in release yet (have not checked)
    5) ZIP upload images

I hope some of the stuff will make it in a weekly update (if telerik keeps that up after the official release) so we won't have to wait to long.

    Hello Markus,

We will publish a roadmap today. Feature 1) and 2) will certainly make it to the Q1 release.
