Sitefinity License on Dev Server

Im working on a new site for a customer who has purchased Sitefinity for their Domain. They have their production server running as we are developing...very common...were rebuilding their site. We create staging sites for the client to track the progress on their website. Problem is our 30 day trial has ended and we still have much more development to go (more then an additional 30 days). We installed their license on our server and it basically says nope sorry wrong domain.

What is the solution for this? I was under the impression we could develop on a license but im guessing you are saying it has to be localhost? That doesn't really work when we are talking about giving the client the capability to see their dev site from anywhere.

What is everyone doing for this or whats the solution?

Thanks

Hello Jerami,

You can edit your hosts file located ( C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc ) directory binding the domain to your localhost address.
