I have my own registration process that does some other things as well, is there a way to disable the default registration process? i don't want visitors creating accounts if they stumble upon this url.

Hi Kristian,

Thank you for using our services.

Currently there is no way to disable or edit the Login page as it is automatically generated by a route handler. However if you use the public login controls you can set LoginUrl to your custom login page, so that when users click login, they are taken to this page.

Is this possible yet?

Hello Kristian,

We have a configuration in Sitefinity which allows you to set the default login URL for the project. You can change the default Login URL from Administration -> Settings -> Advanced -> Security -> Permissions -> Pages -> LoginUrl. This allows you to set your custom login page. So when a customer needs to authenticate they will go to this page instead of /Sitefinity/Login/

So I'm assuming that is the page users will be redirected to if they hit a page that has permissions on it and they are not yet authenticated? That's great, I've been using the custom errors in the web.config everytime a 403 is hit to go to a login... isn't it pretty much the same thing?

However, changing the Login in Pages / General etc. in the backend settings doesn't do what I expected. I was thinking it would redirect to the login page I set even if someone manually typed /Sitefinity/Login and more importantly /Sitefinity/Login/Register. I don't want user accounts being registered unless they are using my registration process, not the one that comes with SF out of the box. That ends up being useless and then I have to go and cleanup these registered accounts that I wasn't expecting.

What I was really hoping for was to go and edit the backend pages and set the /Sitefinity/Login/Register page to administrators only, but from what I see that isn't possible.

Hello Kristian,

Well for automatic redirect of this page you can setup a redirect rule for those two URLs in IIS.
