I'm glad there is a way to reset a user's password.  However, is there any way we can either choose their new password, or control the complexity of the one that is generated for them?

For a user that is already frustrated for having to request their password be reset, telling them to type in "b}-01LTr:UZ9};" adds insult to injury.

Also, is there a way to provide "Forgot your password?" type of functionality, so that users can reset their own passwords?

    Hello Greg,

These features don't come out of the box with Sitefinity, however, nothing stops you from implementing such functionality. The default membership provider in Sitefinity gives the same functionality as the System.Web.Security.SqlMembershipProvider, which gives you the ability to implement custom "Forgot your password?" and password reset functionality.

You could easily add the needed login controls in the control toolbox, so that you could use them in your project.

For the administration all you have to do is modify the ~/Sitefinity/Admin/CmsAdmin/Users.aspx and ~/Sitefinity/Admin/CmsAdmin/MyProfile.aspx pages. The first is responsible for the Administration > Users tab, while the second one serves for the "my profile" link at the top right corner.

    Hope this helps.
