I have a page group that contains a number of pages created using the pages API. The first page in the group is the only non-API created page and is always the landing page for the group. When a new page is created the first page needs to be re-ordered to the top (0 ordinal) since the new page may be inserted there.
At some time during the process, generic content links to the first page will be changed to reflect the new page instead of the first page.
Is this a function of the sfref property on the link tag?

The links created in generic content look like this:
    <a href="/Page_Group_Directory/first_page.aspx"

    with sfref="[Sitefinity]someuniqueid".

How is this controlled? It seems that if the sfref is removed, the links do not update, but I would rather not tell a client that they have to modify the html of the link so that it remains unchanged.

    Sitefinity version is 3.7 SP2.

    Thank you

    Hi Lou Mossa,

This is a  dynamic url that we resolve internally - Resolving the url of dynamic links . This ensures that changing the page name its location in the SiteMap will not result in a broken link. If you change the position of the first_page.aspx the link should not be broken and it will remain accessible.

    Sincerely yours,
