I just picked up a sitefinity project and one of my first task is to allow google to index its searches. For this purpose I understand I need to change the variable name of the query string to "q" however I cannot find this option either in the sitefinity backend.

I did notice a searchresult class in my visualstudio solution but this seems to not be used.

Would anyone have any indications on whether it is a config setup I missed on the backend or if I do need to override some class in order to customize this value. I guess what I fail at is understanding where this information is save.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Alex,

As i know, it is not required to have "q" query string for that. You just need to add special markup to homepage.
