Does anyone have a tool to find all the places a link is used?

The forums are in read-only mode. In case that you want to directly contact the Progress Sitefinity team use the support center. In our Google Plus group you can find more than one thousand Sitefinity developers discussing different topics. For the Stack Overflow threads don’t forget to use the “Sitefinity” tag.

We are replacing some pages with a different set. I need to find all the places that linked to the original pages so we can updated the text and links to the old pages. We don't want to just do a redirect (additional URL) because the text will need reworded.

    To put it another way:

What I want is something that crawls the site like a broken link checker, except instead of marking a broken link I want to be able to give it a specific link and have it tell me where all occurences of that link are.

So if I give it It should check every one of my pages and return me a list of all pages that have a link to

Does anyone know a tool to do this?

    Hello Sharon,

That's a tough one, unfortunately we don't have an out of the box implementation for checking all usages of a piece of content throughout the site. You can use Chokov's Replace Tool. to find all links and replace them.

As far as I know the link mentioned above is for a tool that worked with Sitefinity 3.7.

It would not work with version 4 and above.

    Here's a more recent solution:'s-blog/2013/12/27/global-search-and-replace-in-sitefinity-content-blocks

A great tool that not only checks working links but broken ones too is Xenu. Works great and you can even use it on your Intranet.
