    Hi,
I have greats problems to control the css parameters in Sitefinity. Please anyone help-me. How to create a good template such TIU site. In VWD2005 is very hard to control-it. It not possible to add more controls parameters in edit mode for templates to best control of model and results. I'm tested VWD, Expression, and many CSS editors but nothing.
    Actually
    - I'm created with old HTML editor
    - I modify <% balises
    - I capture CSS in HTML editor
    - I go to Expression for correct position of content containers and attach CSS
    - I import in VWD
OK I'm not a great code developer but WYSIWYG or NOT WYSIWYG solutions
How activate the css editor in RadEditor by default in SItefinity.
    Best regards

    Pierre -

I don't think you are going to find a perfect answer to your questions. The best news, for someone who is not great at manual CSS, is that, I think, Sitefinity is planning on releasing more predefined layouts like the one for TIU that you like.

CSS is critical because it is the most flexible standard design solution. However, I agree that until someone invents a perfect cross browser, visual, CSS editor for designing layouts, the only answer is to start getting familiar with manually editing your CSS.

    Good luck.

    Sincerely,

    Ben

    Hello Romi,

We have plans to create a rich library with predefined templates and themes. Also we have some ideas to provide opportunity for CSS control.

In the meantime here are some links that will help you with CSS:
    http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/
    http://www.tizag.com
    http://www.w3schools.com/css/

Also it will be very useful for you to install FireBug for FireFox that will give you the opportunity to debug your CSS. You could download it from http://www.getfirebug.com/

    Hope this helps for now.

    Hi Pierre,

There is nothing that is going to help you more though than learning it yourself as much as you are able. I can recommend StyleMaster as a great editor to assist you and help you learn.

There is a demo for download at www.westciv.com with excellent hands on tutorials on creating compliant CSS with or without the editor and you would really benefit from spending some time I would think.

I can highly recommend the material available there, including all the free material in the demo, as I have used it to assist my development team.

    Cheers,

    Seth
