We have a sitefinity website that links to another external website and we would like to integrate the logins (so that when a user is logged in to the sitefinity site, when they navigate to the other site they won't have to login again).  Given that I have very little knowledge/experience with website security can anyone advise how this might be done, based on sitefinity's security model?

    Hi rmp,

You can use single database for Membership and Security services to share security information between sites. But users will still need to login when moving from one site to another as the authentication ticket cannot be transferred between sites. You could try Windows authentication but this is only suitable for intranet applications. Maybe the only solution that will work out of the box is to use Microsoft Passport provider for Membership Services.

    Best wishes,
    the Telerik team
