    Hi There,

I have a licensing question. I'm a web dev who's creating a site for a client. I am getting close to completion and want to get the licensing taken care of. My question is, does the clients name/address need to be used in the purchase process or can I process the entire purchase using my info (it will be my cc card too) and then just deploy it? At some point if they decide to go with another web dev and they want to make updates to the site or get support will they have issues because it was purchased in my company's name?

    What's the recommended procedure here?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Phill Hodgkinson,

    Thanks for contacting us.

You can purchase the license under any name or any company, but the domain on the license must match the top level domain on the website. Based on your input, I would recommend having your client purchase the license. Then, assign you as a licensed developer. This way, you can download the license and submit tickets, while they have actual ownership and can add or remove developers. To assign you as a developer, have your client login to their user account. Then, click on Licensed Developers, which is under Your Licenses, in the middle of the screen on the My Account page.

Kindly let us know if you have any questions.

    Best wishes,
    the Telerik team
