    Hi,
    I am using an external template for News Detail page. I want to show a permalink there. How to grab a link for permalink?

    Hi Asif,

    Thank you for using our services.

    You can try using the bellow piece of markup:
    <a id="permalink" href="">Perma link</a>
        <script type="text/javascript">
            $get('permalink').href = document.location;
    </script>

    Kind regards,

    Thanks Radoslav. It worked.
    Can I get some query string and some id instead of the page's path in permalink?
    for example my permalink is "http://xyz.com/news/10-12-01/Sample_News_Title.aspx" and my client wants some thing like "http://xyz.com/news/news.aspx?guid=234234234890" ??

    Hello Asif,

    From <cmsEngine> node of the web.config you can get access to the News provider and change its urlRewriteFormat to Guid.

    urlRewriteFormat="{GUID}"
