    I am have the Community Edition that I am trying out.  I created a test site and now I am trying out security.  I put the login control in a template and now I want to add the create user link.  I entered the Create User Text and selected the page with the create user form.  It does not save my entered values.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Andy Macourek,

    Thank you for using our services.

    This setting is not working, because we have manually added layout template to the markup of ASP.NET Login control in order to wrap its functionality. You have two options on how to achieve what you desire, and both of them involve slightly modifying the markup of the user control. Please go to ~/Sitefinity/UserControls/Login/LoginControl.ascx. The first option is to remove the item template, and then all of the setting such as add create user link through the UI will work. To do this edit the whole markup of the user control to look like this:
    <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="LoginControl.ascx.cs"
        Inherits="UserControls_FinalLoginControls_LoginControl" %>
    <asp:Login ID="Login1" runat="server">

    The second option is to manually add the link for your create user page, to the layout template of the user control.

    If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us.
