Referential Integrity & Portal Concept

    I am new to sitefinity but have developed on Sharepoint and DotNetNuke.

    Am I missing something or is there really no referential integrity on the database tables ? Anyone know why not ?

    Also, I think module development and use of master pages/themes is far better than DotNetNuke, but the modules do not seem to be page/instance based. Again did I miss something.

    Hi Mary,

    We do not have a reference for our database indeed. We are using the database on a higher level via our APIs, and suggest everyone using this approach. We are using an ORM which automatically take manages the queries and the tables. This is the reason why we do not have a map of the relations.

    As for the module development, we use user controls or composite controls rather than aspx pages. We found this approach much more convenient. Please take a look at the following article - What are Views for more information on this.
