Release date for v3.1 SP2?

    Can you please tell us when v3.1 SP2 will be released?  It was mentioned in one of my support tickets that it was to be released on the 23rd, and I've also seen rumors of its release throughout the forums.

    I'd also like to provide some constructive criticism. I think telerik communication around updates/releases is getting better, but there is still an inconsistent message being sent out (where 'tomorrow' turns into 'next week', etc.), and often the only way to find out about releases (especially service packs) is to come by the website and either search the forums or check the downloads available from All new downloads available should be communicated via email and/or newsletter.

    I love sitefinity as a product and the fast efficient technical support, but I think that the communications procedures still lack consistency and transparency.   Often when we (the customer) are told a new release is imminent, we communicate this to our stakeholders, only to get burned when the release isn't there on time.  It may work better for everyone if release dates are set more realistically. If the sitefinity dev team happens to be ahead of schedule and pushes out a release before expected, it's just a bonus to all.

    You are absolutely right to be a critical to us and you can be sure that we will take it constructively. We will definitely consider a better announcement of the new releases in the future.
    As for the Sitefinity 3.1 SP2, actually, it was not announced in the forums, it was just mentioned in some support tickets and bug reports.
    Unfortunately, a "last minute" problem with the installation stopped us from releasing this last Friday. 
    Since half the people from our team are attending a CMS event this week, the Service Pack 2 is scheduled for the end of next week.
