    Is there a way to have the RSS feed trigger when a comment is left in the blog or wiki module?

    It may seem like a strange request (one which could cause RSS spamming) but in our environment there are a couple blogs where the owner needs be notified as soon as a comment is made.

    Hi Sean,

    In 3.x the Rss is initialized by RssProviderService. This happens in application restart. There is no event that triggers the service on a specific request. You can do this in 4.0 edition.

    For Sitefinity 4.0
    You can use the following code to run the pipe

                var pipeGuid = new Guid(pointId);
                PublishingManager.InvokeInboundPushPipes(pipeGuid, providerName);

    where you can pass null for the provider name or the default one. As you can see you should know the rss id - pipe ID.

    You can create a custom provider that inherits from the Open Access data provider implementation for the module you want to update.

    Best wishes,
    Ivan Dimitrov
