    All start off by saying that I'm aware that SP1 is outdated. However, the site will be upgraded to 5 or 6 later this year.
    So my problem is with uploading images to the Images & Documents area. I have an image library there that will not accept "large" files (~3 Mb). These are high res photos that are available to customers. When I upload these files, it seems that the upload itself runs fine, but when it tries to generate a thumbnail of the image, things go wrong. Is it possible to turn of the thumbnail generation or update it?
    I don't even know where to start looking to update it either so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    If anyone has run into the same issue, how did you solve it?

    Please check the configuration for maximum request lenght and execution time out in your web.config. More information here: Uploading Large Files. You can increase the execution time out and request lenght to somethling like this:

        <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="102400" executionTimeout="3600" />

    The above will allow you to upload files up to 100MBs for a period up to one hour. Please also chech the request filtering settings on your IIS (if you are using IIS 7.0). There might also be a limitation. Goto IIS 7.5->request filter->change settings you can find max file size there.
