You have no windows identity

    I've just installed the standards version of Sitefinity 3 and get the error
    "You have no windows identity" when trying to create a new project.

    There's no mention of this in the install guide. Any siggestions?

    Hi Tom,

    The only situation in which I can reproduce your problem is when I change the authentication mode in the ProjectManagerWeb\web.config file to option other than Windows. Therefore it is normal to get this error.

    Could you let us know if this is the case otherwise it would be very helpful to provide us with information about your OS and IIS versions.

    Vassil,

    I've not changed that file from  what was installed. I'm running Vista with IIS 7.

    I've uninstalled and reinstalled again, and this time I get :
    Cannot create a file when that file already exists. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700B7)

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for letting us know. When installing Sitefinity under Vista you should consider the following issues:

    Please, try to uninstall and install again Sitefinity. After the uninstall complete check if there is something left in Program Files/telerik/Sitefinity3.0. In case there is, delete the folder manually.

    Hoping there won't be problems this time. Let us know instead.
