    The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is seeking an IT Professional who will be part of a team providing cutting-edge technologies to meet the needs of faculty, staff, and students in the 24 departments that comprise the College. The position is responsible for web application development integrating existing and third-party business applications, including those offered within the University as well as externally hosted services. Integrating these applications and services with various data sources will be a key to performance of the unit. The position requires an IT professional who can design and produce work that enables the maximum effectiveness and efficiency of the College. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to think strategically about current and future services. 

    Summary of position: 

    • Develop web applications, new components for existing web applications and corresponding databases using Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
    • Work with users and the web team to collaborate on current and future projects, tasks and timelines.
    • Share responsibility with other developer(s) for responding to web support requests on existing web applications, including those built with PHP/MySQL.
    • Experience with content and document management systems, such as Telerik Sitefinity and/or Microsoft SharePoint is preferred.
