I am playing around with developing an "Advanced Search" page that will ideally contain multiple search box controls that search different indexes and displays the results all in the same page.

I am having an issue with getting this to work properly out of the box with 3.1 SP2.  I'm wondering if this is possible, because it seems like where I go wrong is when I add the 2nd search box control the page.  When it's just 1 search box on the page, the search works, but as soon as I add a second one, the first one still works, but the second one doesn't.

I get a javascript error saying "[searchboxid] is null or not an object".  Does anyone have any insight into this?

    Hello Erik,

This problem has being resolved in v 3.2.

Unfortunately, there is no easy workaround for v3.1. The only way to fix it seems to be, to override SearchBox control and provide the corrected JS file.

If you are interested in doing that, let me know and I will send you the fixed JavaScript and details on how to override the embedded resource.

    Best wishes,
    the Telerik team
