    Hi, I'm having this annoying problem, getting kicked out constantly.
    I'm in the middle of a (not that) particular scenario that will repeat in the future, so I'd better try to ease the problem if possible.

    I'm developing two or three projects simultaneously, at the localhost web server. I log in to one Sitefinity project, then start another browser, and go to a second Sitefinity project and log in. (The projects are totally separate, but the content is somehow connected and it is convenient/necessary to jump back and forth while developing/designing/editing.) But when I switch back to the first browser window I get kicked out if I try to save or otherwise produce a request.

    From my testing it seems to happen with/when:
    - Projects at the localhost, not with sites at different DNS addresses ( and
    - Both (latest) Internet Explorer and Firefox.
    - Regardless of setting "Remember me on this computer"
    - Regardless of having different user/login names in the projects.

    It looks like an error, but I have not found documentation of how the team has meant logins/sessions to work.
    Please explain, fix, or help me with a workaround.

    Hi olav,

    If you are managing your websites under one browser with multiple tabs it is normal to get logged out. If you are using two browsers you should not get logged out.

    The workaround:

    Change the following section of the web.config file, so that you should have different names for forms node.

    <authentication mode="Forms">
          <forms name=".ASPNETWebsite1" loginUrl="~/sitefinity/login.aspx" protection="All" timeout="1440" path="/" />

    Hi Ivan,

    No tabs, each project was accessed using separately started browser windows.
    But having a distinct forms name for every project solved all. Thanks!
