I am reviewing thread posts before installing community edition to a production server.

The server runs other sites, and uses Helm to manage those sites.  It is a dedicated server, but again, runs Helm to manage those other sites.

I want to install SiteFinity to a particular site other than the default, to play with implementing the CMS on that particular site.

Can this be done without affecting the other live sites?  If so, please point me to appropriate docs?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hello ksuvalk,

You can do this but not using the executable. You need to create a new website. Then download Sitefinity Blank project - zip archive. Under the root of the newly create website under IIS extract the zip archive. Then run the website and install Sitefinity.
