    Hi fregas,

The mistakes are probably due to the fact that you are running a beta version of 3.0. Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade from Sitefinity 3.0 Beta directly to 3.1. The database is upgraded automatically so in order to upgrade it you need to create projects that are respectively created by a Sitefinity version 3.0, 3.0 SP2  and then 3.1.

In order to make a project in 3.0 official release, you need to change the assemblies (found in the bin folder)
and the Sitefinity folder content. You can get these by downloading the version from your account on Sitefinity's site. After running the project, you need to follow the same procedure again for upgrading to 3.0 SP2.
Actually, after applying version 3.0 you could use the hotfix for the Service pack 2. You need to unzip each package, open the Sitefinity and bin folders from the Empty project and copy their files into your project and start your site. Do it for both versions. Before starting upgrading your project, please back it up.

After doing the above steps you could start upgrading your project to version 3.1 using the instructions in the manual.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    All the best,
    the Telerik team
