I'm attempting to intall Sitefinity on my laptop but receiving an error: "Error 1327: Invalid drive E:\"

I do have an external drive at work that I use, but no system files are on the drive.  Trying to install from home where I don't have the external drive.

Is there any way to change a setting in XP to install and avoid this error?

    Hello Christian,

This error is not related to Sitefinity. Here is a knowledge base article that discusses in details the reasons for this problem and the possible solutions.

Also use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility that is offered by Microsoft to uninstall Sitefinity. Make sure no files and folders remain in the installation folder before you proceed with the new installation.

If these suggestions do not help, you can do a search with Google on this error.

Let us know how it goes.
