We currently have a custom built CMS that houses 9 top level domains sites within 1 database (its quite a mess). Sitefinity would allow us to separate the sites (which are independent websites with no shared content) and manage everything far more efficiently.

What I am stumped on is how we would set up our servers, can all 9 instances run on with out performance issues or should be setting up multiple web servers? As well we will be added 2-3 more web sites within a year or so.

    Hi Chris,

Using shared database and sever is not a good idea, because of the website and server maintenance process. Also, if your web server or database goes down, all websites will be offline. All websites will use the server resources and you can get some performance leaks.
