I'm having hard times trying to figure out how to setup sitefinity on a Windows XP Pro (IIS5) box.

I ran through the knowledge base articles, All what I got it's a setup guide that covers IIS 7 only.

Since there is a huge difference between iis 5 and iis 7 I would ask if:

    1) Can sitefinity run properly using IIS 5?
    2) How should setup IIS 5? (In my case anonymous users is disabled as suggested, integrated windows authorization is enabled)

    Hi alessio marziali,

Actually, the Sitefinity setup on Windows XP Pro (IIS5) box should go smoothly. Therefore, you are not seeing articles on this topic.

Could you described the exact problem you have?

    Does your installation completed successfully?
Can you open the Project Manager? If so, can you see the name of the impersonated windows user on the right top corner of the screen? Does this user has permissions to create virtual directories?
    Can yo create a project?
