This may seem silly, but I am working on a site that is very near to going live, and my customer wants to upgrade to SF 3.5 SP1.  In the installation guide for SF 3.5, there are instructions for upgrading SF 3.1 projects to 3.5, but no mention of SF 3.2...  Are the instructions the same?  That may seem like a stupid question, but I would hate to have a mess on my hands this late in the project...  Also, how should I backup my current setup, just in case?

    Hello Shaune,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Sitefinity 3.5 was primarily a bug fix for Sitefinity 3.2, since over 30 issues were fixed with the 3.5 release. Upgrading from 3.2 to 3.5 involves downloading the hotfix, replacing the files in the hotfix with the ones in your application and updating your Web.config accordingly. For more detailed instructions, please read this article.

To backup your current set-up, rename the folders that need to be replaced in the hotfix. Also back up your database by opening up SQL Server Management Express, expanding the databases folder, right clicking on your database, go to tasks and then click on backup.

Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Best wishes,
    the Telerik team
