I an new to SiteFinity and have just installed the trial version on my computer.  When I click on Sitefinity3.2 from Start menu/ All Programs/Telerik/Sitefinity3.2  it launched http://localhost/telerik/Sitefinity3.2 and I got a 404 File not found error.

When I look in IIS under default web site the Telerik virtual Directory points to C:\Program Files\Common Files\telerik\web and there is a sub dir Sitefinity3.2 which points to C:\Program Files\telerik\Sitefinity3.2\ProjectManager and it appears to have files visible in IIS. But when I browse that web site on my dev machine I get a 404 error.

If I create a "siteFinity3" application on IIS off of the localhost's root for the projectManager pointing to the same directory on the C: drive it launches in IE. But the sample file created is off of the Telerik subDir and is no viewable in IE. I get a 404 error when I try and view http://localhost/telerik/TIUSite_v3.2_SP2/Default.aspx

It seems like I don't have something configured to allow virtual directories to be set under the Telerik sub-dir.

HELP please. I am trying to evaluate Sitefinity for use as a CMS with some sites I will be building.

    Hi Jordan,

    Thank you for contacting us.
It seems the problems you get are due to IIS misconfiguration. Please refer to the KB article Error 404 when Starting Sitefinity from All Programs.
The other error that you get are probably a result of this one.

Please let us know if your problems continue after taking the steps described.

    Sincerely yours,
    the Telerik team
