I tried out with my first 6.0.4100 installation. Updated the site yesterday to 6.0.4200 and it seems I had to update the lighnings dlls on the server to

Now at the moment this seems to be an add-on which you have to remember to update every time.

Would it be a bad idea if lightning was part of SF by default.  dlls in every release Module disabled on first installation?

    Hello Markus,

It is true that one should follow the site version so that Lightning could connect.
We've introduced the version of the server module to provide an option to update the module on the site directly from NuGet without the need to manually do a binding redirect in the web.config of your Sitefinity instance.

As far as your question is concerned, we have been widely discussing this matter and most probably we will be part of Sitefinity by default in the near future. We expect to start working on this after the official release of Lightning.

Thank you very much for the provided feedback!
