I've just tried the Sitefinity Desktop Application to try to connect to my stage environment on a Windows Azure server.  Despite DAM being installed and active, I can not log in with the Desktop Application.

I have tried both Standard login and Website login.  Standard login fails outright.  Website login shows me the login screen, and even tells me I'm already logged in with this user ID (currently logged in via web browser), but then fails with this message in both instances:

"Please make sure the site is online and Sitefinity DAM module is updated there."

The site's online, the DAM module is installed and active, and my login/pass are correct.

What else might be wrong?  Is it the fact that it's an Azure server?  Do I have to enable some port or endpoint on the Azure server for the SDA to connect properly?  Please advise.  Thanks.

    Hi Corby,

If the site has been upgraded from a previous version of Sitefinity, there is a possibility that our old module still exists. To verify that you can check that there is no 'Lightning' module installed in Sitefinity and there is no Telerik.Sitefinity.Lightning.Server.dll in the bin folder of your project. If this assembly exists, just remove it and try to connect again.
If this is not the case, then, would you please provide us with some test credentials so we can further investigate the issue you are experiencing. You can open a support ticket for that to ensure security.
