I've become a huge fan of Sitefinity and we just finished buying a license and deploying a site built around it. We love it.

However, I have a small suggestion that would make deployment just a mite smoother and sweeter:

Developing locally, we build a lot of user controls that get placed into Sitefinity-managed pages. Naturally, I do not cache these pages on my dev machine.

In deploying, I had to re-enable caching on roughly 45 pages.

I think it would be great to have a button or other type of control in the Pages section that would enable us upon deployment to simply "Cache All Pages for Production Use."

Thanks, Sitefinity Team, for a fantastic tool.

    Hi Bob,

First of all, thank you for the nice words. What we are constantly trying to achieve is make you, our valuable customers happy with our product.

The page caching from the CMS is our own implementation. There is another caching technique that might be interesting for you. ASP.NET has a standard caching option built-in for all pages. You can simply enable/disable this by modifying the web.config file, so it looks like this :

    <cms defaultProvider="Sitefinity"

I hope you find this information helpful.
