I would like to suggest that in addition to the normal page, page group, and external page, a 4th type be added, called internal page. This would allow you to add a dynamic link to an existing page in the CMS.  When developing large sites, it is often useful to link to a certain page from multiple places in the navigation menu. It would be extremely helpful to not only display certain links where they belong in the page hierarchy, but in other parts of the menu.

I realize I could use the 'external page' option and simply add the url ~/path/to/my/page.aspx but this isn't dynamic so the link may break at any time if any part of the path changes.

    Hello Kevin,

Thank you for the suggestion, we will consider it for the future implementation.
Most probably we'll find another solution, which will accomplish the scenario you describe, since internal and external page types will be very similar.
